Lochgelly Community Council is proud to launch a new Local Place Plan. An independent, community-led initiative designed to shape the future of Lochgelly through the voices of those who live, work & play here. It’s a genuine opportunity to build a plan that reflects real priorities, real ideas, and real ambition.

Local Place Plans are a new tool introduced by the Scottish Government to empower communities to influence land use, development, and investment. By leading this process independently, Lochgelly Community Council ensures that our voices are not diluted or deferred. This is a genuine opportunity to set priorities, demand change, and build a resilient, inclusive future.

What’s Happening?

Lochgelly is a unique community, and the people who know it best are the people who live, work, and spend time here. That's why we are asking for your views through this community survey.

The survey is part of an effort to create a community-led plan that reflects local priorities and aspirations for the future. Your feedback will help identify what is working well in Lochgelly, what challenges need to be addressed, and where improvements could make the biggest difference.

By scoring different aspects of the town and sharing your opinions, you will help build a detailed picture of community needs and opportunities. The information gathered will be used to support future discussions and decisions about local land, buildings, facilities, services, and investment priorities.

All submissions will be gathered and reviewed.
